MATSUNOYU Sento in Kanazawa City Featured in Travel Guide

MATSUNOYU Sento, a traditional Japanese sento (public bath) located in Kanazawa, has been featured in an international travel guide published by Travel Lemming.

The article, The 26 Best Things to Do in Kanazawa,” highlights a selection of experiences across the city, introducing MATSUNOYU Sento as a place to experience traditional Japanese bathing culture within a local neighborhood setting.

Originally established over 70 years ago along Seseragi Street in the Nagamachi Samurai District, the bathhouse closed before reopening on November 26, 2022. It has since been reimagined as a renewed sento that reflects Kanazawa’s traditions and culture, featuring original Kutani-yaki tiles crafted by artisans.

MATSUNOYU Sento also includes a sauna and cold bath, making it a great place for both locals and travelers alike to experience local bathing culture.
